ABOUT GEOPOLYMERS - INTERNATIONALLY

A postgraduate student of the Department "General Chemistry and Technology of Silicates" took part in the XII International Kurnakov Meeting on Physical and Chemical Analysis "KURNAKOV 2022", which was held from September 27 to 29 at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.

The event was organized by SPbPU, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry. N.S. Kurnakova, National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The meeting discussed the latest achievements of fundamental science and modern technologies in the field of methods of physical and chemical analysis of inorganic and organic systems. Particular attention was paid to the practical application of the achievements of chemical technology and the development of new structural and functional materials.

More than 100 people took part in the meeting, including Academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Corr. RAS, doctors of sciences, candidates of sciences, graduate students and students from St. Petersburg, Moscow, Perm, Ivanovo, Yekaterinburg, Saratov, Ulan-Ude, Novosibirsk, Samara, Makhachkala, Apatity, Murmansk and Novocherkassk.

Within the framework of the session of section No. 3 “Modern technologies for the production of structural and functional materials. Application of methods of physico-chemical analysis for their control”, 1st year postgraduate student Andrey Izvarin presented the report “Structural geopolymer materials based on coal energy waste” based on the results of work within the framework of project No. 075-15-2022-1111 “Carbon neutral technologies for processing large fuel and energy waste to obtain functional geopolymer materials.
