FIVE REPORTS OF OUR CHEMISTS ARE IN THE FOCUS OF ATTENTION OF COLLEAGUES

From September 5 to 9, Sevastopol hosted the international conference "Modern trends and prospects for the development of processing technologies and equipment in mechanical engineering 2022" (ICMTMTE 2022). Within the framework of the main sections "Additive technologies, materials processing technologies, design of machines and mechanisms" and "Materials Science" more than 50 reports by leading scientists from Russia and abroad were presented. The delegation of SRSPU (NPI) presented reports on the results of scientific research conducted at the Department of General Chemistry and Technology of Silicates.

The report of Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Natalia Goltsman was devoted to the implementation of the RSF grant "Development of an effective technology for the synthesis of aluminosilicate proppants using drilling waste from oil and gas wells in the Southern Federal District." As part of this work, the researcher studies the effects of clay additives on the strength properties of aluminosilicate proppants.

PhD, Associate Professor Boris Goltsman presented two reports on theoretical and practical aspects of porous glass materials production technology. Studies describing the mechanism of formation of the porous structure of glass materials and supported by the Russian Science Foundation grant "Study of the processes of structure formation of porous glass materials incorporated with carbon nanophase" were presented in the report "Formation of the structure of foam glass during heat treatment of batches based on a glycerol pore former".

In the report on research within the framework of the strategic project "Scientific and innovative cluster "Contact R&D Center" (within the framework of the "Priority-2030" project), the possibility of practical application of foam glass as a heat-insulating layer of hydrogen storage tanks was considered.

The post-graduate student of the department S. Trofimov presented the results of studies on the influence of the temperature-time regime of hardening on the structure and properties of porous geopolymers obtained within the framework of the Russian Science Foundation grant "Effective temperature-setting eco-geopolymers for road construction in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation based on waste from burning solid fuels on local CHP".

Postgraduate student S. Vilbitsky presented a report on the possibility of recycling ash and slag waste from thermal power plants with the production of functional geopolymer materials, established experimentally as part of the implementation of the Agreement with the Ministry of Education and Science No. 075-15-2022-1111.

All reports of representatives of our university aroused keen interest of the audience, since the practical application of the developed materials is very wide - from road construction to reservoir insulation.
