Every year, within the walls of the SRSPU (NPI) named after. M.I. Platov, a competition is held for the best final qualifying work among students graduating from the university.

So, this year, the master's thesis of the laboratory engineer "Fuel Energy Waste Recycling" - Yury Vladimirovich Novikov on the topic "Carbon-neutral technology for obtaining geopolymers based on ash and slag waste from the Novocherkassk State District Power Plant", performed under the guidance of a professor, head of the Department of Chemical and Technical Engineering, Doctor of Technical Sciences - Yatsenko Elena Alfredovna, took 1st place at the Faculty of Technology, and thus was allowed to participate in the university level competition.

In the nomination "Master" in the first place was a student of FITU Victoria Evsina (supervisor - S.N. Shirobokova). The second place was won by the work of the TF student Yuriy Novikov (supervisor - E.A. Yatsenko). The third place was taken by a student of the Federation Council Alexandra Plahutina (supervisor - M.N. Shutova). Master's thesis Novikov Yu.V. carried out as part of the research carried out under the project "Carbon-neutral technologies for recycling large-tonnage fuel energy waste with the production of functional geopolymer materials."
