MEGAGRANT LAUNCHED "GREEN FUTURE"

The scientific school "Green Future" for graduate students, young scientists and students opened its work on May 29 on the basis of the laboratory "Recycling of fuel energy waste" of the YURSPU (NPI). The scientific school has become one of the events taking place within the framework of the project "Carbon-neutral technologies for recycling large-tonnage waste of fuel energy with the production of functional geopolymer materials". This project is carried out within the framework of the megagrant under Decree No. 220 of the Government of the Russian Federation.

The program of the scientific school "Green Future" is diverse and designed for several days, it includes a large number of reports from graduate students from our university and from universities of the Southern Federal District. Their work is planned in three directions: Technological aspects of recycling of industrial and household waste; Problems and prospects of synthesis of new materials for the "green future"; Tasks of modern digital materials science.

The work of the school started with lectures by leading scientists of the laboratory. A large and complex topic of waste disposal in construction was raised by the scientific director of the laboratory – an Indian scientist, professor of the Indian Institute of Technology (Indore) Sandeep Chaudhary.

The lecture "Computer design of "green" materials" was delivered by senior researcher of the laboratory "Recycling of Fuel Energy waste" Anton Kasprzhitsky.

The second half of the day was devoted to a number of reports made by the participants of the scientific school. The topics of twenty scientific reports were related to the key theme of the school "Green Future", although they concerned different areas. So, young scientists shared information about the use of recycled plastic in the creation of elements of urban improvement; reflected on the environmental aspects of the automation of the drilling process; talked about ash and slag waste of Novocherkassk GRES as a valuable raw material; they talked about the advantages of recycling drilling fluids for oil companies and raised many more different topics.
