The purpose of the conference is to highlight the problems and possible ways to solve them related to the rational use of natural resources and the complex processing of natural and man-made raw materials. The event was attended by more than 70 scientists from St. Petersburg, Bryansk, Belgorod, Moscow, Perm, Kazan, Yoshkar-Ola, Novocherkassk, as well as from Tashkent, Iraq, China, Senegal, Afghanistan, Vietnam.

The plenary report "Research of coal energy waste as a precursor for the synthesis of geopolymers" was made by the representative of SRSPU (NPI) - engineer of the laboratory "Recycling of fuel energy waste" A.I. Izvarin. The report was devoted to the problems of utilization and processing of ash and slag wastes of solid fuel energy through their use in the production of geopolymer materials.

As part of the work of the section “Processing of technogenic raw materials: theoretical and applied aspects”, the laboratory staff also presented their reports: L.A. Yatsenko (“Energy-efficient method of hydrated foaming of simple silicate materials”), D.N. Izvarina (“Selecting the curing temperature of porous geopolymer materials for the processing of ash and slag waste”) and a first-year postgraduate student of the department “General Chemistry and Technology of Silicates” V.S. Yatsenko (“Prospects for the use of secondary products and industrial waste in the production of building materials”).

All reports were made within the framework of the implementation of the mega-grant "Carbon-neutral technologies for recycling large-tonnage fuel energy waste with the production of functional geopolymer materials" of Decree 220 of the Government of the Russian Federation.
