Recall that this year, work began on the project "Carbon-neutral technologies for processing large-tonnage fuel and energy waste to obtain functional geopolymer materials." This is the first project of SRSPU (NPI), which received a grant in accordance with Government Decree No. 220. 31 specialists were involved in the project, mainly scientists, graduate students and students of the Department of General Chemistry and Technology Silicates of the Technological Faculty of our university, as well as a team of researchers from the RSTU . The scientific supervisor of the project was a scientist from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indore), Professor Sandeep Chaudhary.

Yuri Ivanovich Razorenov thanked Professor Chaudhary for the decision to cooperate with our scientists in the framework of an international project.

-For our part, we will do our best to ensure that the laboratory works efficiently and the declared result of the work is achieved,- the rector said, noting that the university management expects that the youth involved in the project will acquire the necessary experience and competencies to successfully start their journey in science.

The first month of work of a professor from India within the walls of the Novocherkassk Polytechnic University is coming to an end. During this time, the scientist got acquainted with the project team, took part in several seminars, got an idea not only about the directions of research in the field of chemistry, but also visited other faculties of the NPI, got acquainted with the promising developments of the Novocherkassk Polytechnic University in various scientific fields. In his opinion, cooperation between SRSPU (NPI) and the Indian Institute of Technology could become fruitful in several areas at once, including in the field of student exchange.

Head of the laboratory "Utilization of fuel and energy waste" Professor E.A. Yatsenko informed the rector that a decision had been made to hold in October 2023 on the basis of the SRSPU (NPI) a scientific school for young scientists, students and graduate students "Green Future". During the next visit of Professor Chaudhary, it is planned to start filming the professor's lectures for the future scientific school and the new educational program being developed. In May 2023, it is planned that laboratory staff will participate in two international scientific and technical conferences - "ICIE-2023" and "RusEcoCon-2023" together with Professor Chaudhary.

On the eve of the visit to the rector, Professor Sandeep Chaudhary visited the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Technological Machines and Equipment, where he was told about the achievements of the founder of the scientific school on powder metallurgy, Professor Yu.G. Dorofeev, and also demonstrated the educational and scientific machine park of the department.

The guest was also warmly welcomed at the Department of General Engineering Disciplines, where the Indian scientist was shown rare equipment brought from the Warsaw Polytechnic Institute, as well as the operation of modern equipment - a tensile testing machine that controls the tensile strength of steel reinforcement. and allows you to automatically plot strength dependency graphs directly during testing.

The scientist plans to visit the Center for Collective Use of the SURPU (NPI) and continue working in the laboratory "Utilization of fuel and energy waste" (conducting laboratory studies and discussing the results).
