RUSSIAN-INDIAN IDEAS ON THE SYNTHESIS OF GEOPOLYMERS
The delegation of YURGPU (NPI) was represented by the scientific director of the laboratory "Recycling of fuel energy waste" Sandip Chaudhary, the head of the Department "General Chemistry and Technology of Silicates" E.A. Yatsenko and associate Professor of the Department of OHiTS A.V. Ryabova.
Professor Sandeep Chaudhary (Indore University of Technology, India) arrived at YURGPU (NPI) to continue work on the megagrant "Carbon-neutral technologies for recycling large-capacity waste of fuel energy with the production of functional geopolymer materials" within the framework of Decree No. 220 of the Government of the Russian Federation, the implementation of which began in June 2022.
The reports of Professors Chaudhary and Yatsenko were devoted to various aspects of charge preparation and methods of synthesis of geopolymers based on ash and slag wastes of solid fuel power plants of the Southern Federal District, and the report of A.V. Ryabova was devoted to the study of the properties of geopolymer materials based on ash and slag wastes of power plants of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation within the framework of the RNF grant "Effective temperature–cured ecogeopolymers for road construction in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation based on solid fuel combustion waste at local thermal power plants".
The working languages of the scientific forum were Russian and English, which allowed international guests, including Professor Chaudhary, to get acquainted with a wide range of achievements of Russian scientific materials science and conduct a lively dialogue with the conference participants. Within the framework of the conference, reports were presented in person and in online format in 15 sections. The largest number of reports were made in the sections "Materials Science and physical chemistry of materials", "Building materials: structure, properties, technologies, equipment" and "Composite and powder materials".
The unique nature of Crimea aroused the sincere admiration of Professor Chaudhary, who noted that with each visit to Russia he is more and more fascinated by the beauty of its nature and the goodwill of people.
