TF SCIENTISTS ARE ON THE EDITORIAL BOARD OF A PRESTIGIOUS SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL

Publications in peer-reviewed, highly rated journals are clear evidence of the importance of scientific research. One of such journals in the field of materials science is "Materialy" MDPI. Included in the Q1 quartile of the Scopus and Web of Science databases and publishes works in the field of chemistry and technology of polymer and silicate materials and coatings, their properties and applications.

Scientists of the Department "General Chemistry and Technology of Silicates" SRSPU (NPI) - Head, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor E.A. Yatsenko and associate professor, Ph.D., associate professor of the department B.M. Goltsman repeatedly acted as reviewers of articles submitted for consideration to the journal "Materialy", and also published his own scientific articles in this publication.

Knowing the high scientific level of our chemists, as well as their responsible attitude to the preparation of publications, the editors of the journal invited polytechnic scientists to act as guest editors (Guest Editors) in a special issue of the journal called "Silicate Materials". : preparation, description and application" (Silicate materials: preparation, characterization and application).

The issue will be devoted to aspects of the synthesis of various silicate materials, including construction, thermal insulation, coatings and materials with special properties. The processes of physical and chemical interaction of the components of raw mixtures, the formation of the structure of synthesized materials, the relationship between their composition, structure and properties will be considered.

Particular attention will be paid to research in the field of synthesis of functional materials based on silica-containing wastes, since most wastes from many industries (mining and processing of ores and minerals, metallurgy, solid fuel heat and power engineering, and many others) are represented by silicate products. This direction is especially relevant for solving one of the most important problems of our time: reducing the burden on the environment through the processing of man-made waste.

Congratulations to our chemists on the recognition of their high professional level!
