The 20th anniversary ceremony of awarding the winners of the Smart Scholarship competition took place on December 8 in Rostov-on-Don. Center-Invest Bank and the Endowment Fund Education and Science of the Southern Federal District allocated scholarships in the amount of 8 million rubles to 200 best students. The scholarship amounted to 40 thousand rubles for each finalist of the competition.

In 2022, a record number of applicants - 9,000 people from 17 leading universities in the Krasnodar Territory, Rostov Region, Volgograd, Astrakhan, Nizhny Novgorod and the Republic of Adygea submitted their successes and business projects for consideration by the competition commission.

Vasily Vasilyevich Vysokov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Center-Invest Bank, Alexander Yuryevich Skryabin, Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region, and rectors of the largest universities in the region addressed the students and participants of the ceremony with welcoming words. The delegation of SRSPU (NPI) was headed by Vice-Rector for educational work Evgeny Mikhailovich Dyakonov.

This year, 16 business projects of the Novocherkassk Polytechnic University were recognized by the jury, and their authors were awarded prestigious scholarships.

The award was received by representatives of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Management Alibagandov Alibagandov and Vitaly Cherednichenko, young hopes of the Faculty of Energy - Denis Gorbunov, Denis Dobrydnev, Timofey Ilyushenko, Anatoly Shmakov. Once again, Nikita Faddeev is among the "veterans" of the "Smart Scholarship" awarded - now a graduate student of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

The Faculty of Technology became the absolute record holder in terms of the number of winners - nine of our chemists were awarded the "Smart Scholarship" at once! These are Andrey Izvarin, Maxim Konstantinov, Valentin Moshchenko, Anzhelika Serik, Victoria Sokolova, Denis Tokarev, Olga Finaeva, Kristina Yuzhakova, Anastasia Yakovenko.

It should be noted that among the chemists there are five representatives of the Department of General Chemistry and Technology of Silicates, three of whom work under the guidance of Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences E.A. Yatsenko and Professor Sandip Chaudhary in the laboratory "Utilization of fuel and energy waste" - 1st year postgraduate student A. Izvarin, 1st year undergraduate A. Yakovenko and 3rd year student V. Moshchenko.
