WORK SCHEDULE AND PLANS FOR THE FUTURE

On December 14, a seminar was held on the basis of the laboratory "Utilization of fuel and energy waste" with the participation of the supervisor - Professor Sandip Chaudhary. The purpose of the seminar was to discuss the results of the work performed under the project "Carbon-neutral technologies for processing large-tonnage fuel and energy waste to obtain functional geopolymer materials." This project is being implemented as part of a mega-grant under Decree No. 220 of the Government of the Russian Federation for 2022, as well as planned plans for 2023.

The main report at the seminar was made by the head of the laboratory - professor, doctor of technical sciences. E.A. Yatsenko. Elena Alfredovna noted that, despite the tight deadlines, all the analytical and research work indicated in the calendar plan has been completed. Currently, work is underway to complete the formation of the annual report and a package of accompanying documentation. Of the nine mandatory indicators for the implementation of the project in 2022, the following were exceeded: the number of candidates of sciences and graduate students permanently working as part of the research team of the laboratory; the number of laboratory assistants admitted to graduate school in the declared area of scientific research; the number of registered intellectual property objects, the authors of which are laboratory employees.

The workshop participants constructively discussed plans and indicators for 2023. It was decided to hold in October 2023 on the basis of SRSPU (NPI) a scientific school for young scientists, students and graduate students "Green Future", preparation for which will begin next spring. . During the next visit of Professor Chaudhary in May-June 2023, it is planned to start filming the lectures of the professor for the upcoming scientific school and the new educational program being developed. In May 2023, the laboratory staff is scheduled to participate in two international scientific and technical conferences "ICIE-2023" and "RusEcoCon-2023" together with Professor Chaudhary.

The next day, December 15, was also full of events. Within the walls of the NTB, Professor Chaudhary met with graduate students of our university - chemists, builders, mechanics - those young scientists who specialize in the field of materials science and technology. The professor spoke about how the learning process is organized at the Indian Institute of Technology (Indore) and in general in his home state. SRSPU graduate students learned about the area of scientific interests of Professor Chaudhary and the research directions of his group. The final touch of the meeting was the communication of the professor with the leading bibliographer of the Scientific and Technical Library of the NPI N.A. Mikhailova, who told the guest about the development of the NTB and the rare publications kept in its funds.

Then a professor from India took part in a meeting of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Technology. E.A. Yatsenko introduced Professor Chaudhary to the members of the academic council, spoke about the structure of the faculty, introduced A.A. Alexandrov and heads of departments - M.S. Lipkin, N.P. Shabelskaya, E.A. Lazarev.

At the end of the working week, Professor Chaudhary visited the geological office of the South Russian State Pedagogical University (NPI) - the largest and oldest educational and scientific geological museum in the South of Russia and the Caucasus. A fascinating tour for the guest was conducted by the head of the geological department T.M. Zabolotnaya.
